Unfortunately, the question, which smartphone is better to buy in 2017-2018, has not many options. Definite reason is Nokia is actually out of game. My one decade old Nokia N73ME still is a good hardware. If you need that quality of solid hardware, then obviously it is iPhone specially if you have MacBook Pro purchased around 2012 or later. Samsung is practically clone of iPhone and good at affordable range. Others are not exactly great for various reasons like customer support, servicing etc.

I always need high end smartphone as I have to do with online and offline technical things which demands on the go device for some works. For example, if I have this article written before hand and want to publish after 7 hours when I will be at a place which is not my any home or workplace, I would need a good smartphone. I would also need a smartphone in case my area is small, like living in a hostel and co-sharing the same room.

I do not need smartphone for just a mobile phone call, sending-receiving text messages etc. We need to avoid Governmental spyware, hundreds of traps. Obviously thieves are ready to get it at hand. We have to keep the smartphone on and off to avoid various troubles. Newer smartphones are not of size which is pocketable. Female dress often do not have usable pockets.

I have a Reliance ZTE tablet, even with the works, do I need to buy Apple iPhone? Yes, if I have a new iPhone, I can develop some things, review few applications. From that point some money will come back.

MacBook and iPhone has no huge difference in price! So iPhone worth as micro MacBook, not as a gizmo to attract humans.

If you never purchased Apple products, never believe Apple. They do have odd bugs and users find fix without Apple’s official support. The reason to buy Apple’s stuff is only for those few reasons and obviously the great retina display.

At this moment, iPhone 7 is actually enough for many users particularly if a good ISP is giving with a decent free data pack. You can see the size comparison. You are possibly not buying a tablet. I saw Lenovo sells good tablets at $150 – $200.
