Cheapest CDNs With HTTPS, IPv6, HTTP/2, Brotli

The reason to repeat the old topic is revision of pricing and often the CDN providers become bad after running few years as good. KeyCDN is a rip off now, once we promoted KeyCDN. Once we talked about Rackspace Cloud Files as it used to cost $1 per month, now maintaining the account costs $50 per month. What are the cheapest CDNs with HTTPS, IPv6, HTTP/2, Brotli support at this moment is an obvious question. For a website origin pull is preferred over origin push. Also the CDNs which supports storage, supports HTML site hosting are preferred.

Akamai is actually cheap but does not have many resellers. One was Rackspace Cloud Files (unusable due to pricing), HP cloud CDN closed out of HP Public Cloud Service closure. Both were OpenStack Swift based and had many advantages. Fastly also charges $50 per month minimum charge.

At this moment we are using CacheFly as they once had pay as you go model of account. We have no idea whether CacheFly still has that option, but it is really good although costly. We do not use it for storage but use as only origin pull CDN, that bill goes $1 per 10 000 page views per month (from our calculation).

Others are BunnyCDN – we talked Bunny CDN before, CDN77, Amazon’s pathetic but cheap “CDN” etc.

Other less known options of CDNs are from European leaders – OVH and Aruba Cloud. We never used OVH CDN, but we know that it costs around $12 per month fixed fees with one dedicated IP and infrastructure is of OpenStack Swift object storage. Others are not that known to us. You have to choose among these limited options. OVH is actually most reliable if you feel CacheFly, Rackspace Cloud Files are costly but you need ton of extra features. Other cheaper CDNs are basically for serving static files.
