iPaaS Services Allow to Connect any Type of Cloud Computing Services, From Public to Private, and App Simplifying the Work of the Companies. In the previous articles, we talked about iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service, Integration PaaS) and API economy among the cloud natives. Among the various types of services that populate the cloud, Gartner analysts have noted a substantial acceleration of the segment iPaaS solutions. To better understand what it is enough to mention the case study cited by Gartner and related to known US retailers (those who has 2000 points of sale around the world), video games and accessories/hardware : the use of a management software mode PaaS had proven ineffective in these sectors because of the need of the additional steps one should take to integrate different business applications (financial platforms, ERP Enterprise resource planning systems and then sales, warehouse management etc.) and receive data.
iPaaS Automates Various Business Processes
Theoretically, the most likely solution would be to use an integration software on-premise, in practice more and more companies prefer to turn towards the iPaaS solutions, synthesis of integration platforms ready to use and accessible via the cloud which can connect various cloud services and enterprise applications, receive/exchange data. iPaaS automates various business processes that require the use of on-premise and cloud resources, as noted by the analysts. If it is a cloud service then can be easily connected to any data platform. The hosted nature of the solution, the platform is managed by the vendor, allows the clients (companies) to allocate staffs and resources previously required by on-premise platform to other objectives.
iPaaS is Growing But Not for All
Naturally, the iPaaS platforms are not the ultimate solution for companies. It should be remembered that the classical integration platforms enable the users to achieve excellent results orchestrating complex applications and ensuring a flow of low-latency data which may be essential for some clients. The problem is that they require the presence of highly qualified and specialized staffs who can configure and manage the system. And that is why ease of management and the presence of integration algorithms ready to use, as well as the intuitive drag and drop interfaces and customizable templates offered by iPaaS platforms attracting more and more customers. The market could worth about $ 1 billion within a few years.

Obviously the popular vendors of SaaS applications do not appreciate the success of iPaaS competitors and have started to offer iPaaS solutions. Of course, for those who need a data throughput with low latency between applications, for them on-premise solutions will always remain the best choice, but in the remaining cases of usage, iPaaS is the favorite.
