Whenever the Word Robot is Added, Price Goes Higher. Here is a DIY Robotic Grasper for Servo Motor & Arduino Which Needs only Time to Build. We found that a China Company has various robotic grip. We talked about DIY Robotic Grasper and DIY Robotic Arm Buying Guide before but not in so details for building your stuff. We are using Tower Pro SG 5010 Servo Motor, which is best servo motor from our judgement.
DIY Robotic Grasper for Servo Motor & Arduino : Building From Plywood
We were talking about the company we found which has various robotic grips. We found that, one such grip is sold at $20 in one website. The stuff is made possibly by die casting. The names appeared to be sold as Robot Clamp Gripper - Extra Width
. We found no way to buy from Ebay or Amazon. We have collected the photographs taken by the sellers and drawn the outline so that one can make one such by cutting cheapest Plywood available in your country. Advantages and Disadvantages of this DIY Robotic Grasper for Servo Motor & Arduino
It is good to build faster by almost anyone without the need of much tools or skill. After building your working stuff from Plywood, you can go to a CNC milling service and get your metal version. It has the basic disadvantage of the mechanism. It is obvious that there will be lot of friction and heat. Normally, in most DIY Robotic Grasper, part or full gear is used. Here, we are using 1/4th of circle to make the rotational movement to non-rotational, non-linear movement. The rail is guiding the end to make the movement to a linear movement.
Gear or part of gear is not easy to create in DIY method whose budget is limited or has no access to 3D printing services.
