Electronics is cheaper, otherwise made in China stuffs never would cost so less. It is our unique DIY Guide to build own Arduino Board (PAPERduino) & Arduino Shields to save your hard earned money. No country is not poor, but all countries has lot of poor and without saving it is never possible to become richer. We wrote about the all possible Arduino Sensors. Yes, it is good to buy the Original Arduino Board, but basically if you need to use an Arduino Board for really working thing, Arduino will become richer. PAPERduino is a project which has great design to print on the paper with inkjet printer, use conductive ink pen and buy the parts separately and join them. Obviously you know that, there is Printed Circuit Board CPCB), those has many types. Easiest type is nothing but a credit card like non-conductive board which has one side thin copper plating. But these are either not cheaper or not stable. We will build CUTE stuffs at least cost. First, let us talk about the craft part.
Build Own Arduino Board (PAPERduino) & Arduino Shields : Our “Patented” Technology!
We are describing the method for PAPERduino. You will use the method for Shields too.
We noticed on Pinterest that our readers hugely loved the method to transfer photography to anything – wood, glass etc.. Another thing people loved is drilling with Phillips screwdriver to repair my fractured rimless spectacle. Here is official PAPERdunio website : http://paperduino.eu/doku.php
. They print on paper, that is great for them not for us. Search the web with PVC Cards or White PVC Cards and you’ll see credit card like blank cards are available on Amazon, EBay etc. sites. They are used for the employees, business card etc. Combine both the tutorials – transferring photo and drilling, you will get that PAPERduino on the card with holes where needed. How you’ll make holes that depends. If the material is like acrylic, use my fractured rimless spectacle method else heat a nail of suitable diameter over open flame and push it.

Question is that, how you’ll add the contact points. Conductive ink pen costs a bomb. Copper Powder 100g is usually available on Amazon, Ebay etc. Gold, Silver also available in the same way. Copper has a practical price tag with acceptable resistance. Another powder which conducts electricity is fine activated charcoal powder. “Fine” is nice powder. Activated charcoal powder is used for aquarium and in case you want to create a genuine drama by consuming something to die. Another option is artist grade Graphite Pencil (10B). These Graphite Pencils are real graphite. I would suggest to use either the activated charcoal powder or Copper Powder 100g option. If you have a multimeter, measure the resistance, it will be very less for the both. There are gules available with pen like tip. Precisely draw the circuits on that card. Now place it on a clean A4 paper on a table. Sprinkle the powder nicely, evenly so that the glue catches them. You can pour the whole whole 100g copper powder, does not matter. Leave it for few hours. Now take out the card gently, stroke it with fingers to make the extra powder fall away. If you never did artistic works, lines may not get the dust rightly. If the lines do not catch the dust rightly, they will not conduct electricity. If your hand is bad, instead of sprinkling, mix water soluble glue and vinegar with the dust to make it a paint. Use an empty old glue container which are like pen, fill it and use. Next step is optional, after drying up, go to a lamination shop and laminate that card. The places you need to open for conductance, use any heating stuff to melt the lamination, like a heated nail or solder iron. Add the electronic parts on the board. You can solder on the back. No PCB is made with so much carefulness.
If you read this theory on PCB :

you possibly can think to add negative sides on one surface, positives on the other surface. Later you can read this :

there are software mentioned for designing circuits.
