Amazon Cloud recently has launched Machine learning as a Service. Amazon Machine Learning as claimed is scalable and can generate predictions on demand. Machine learning for management of data center is becoming common – after IBM, Microsoft and Google, it was possibly a matter of time to expect similar service from Amazon. Amazon cloud, from the point of marketshare is a giant.
Amazon Cloud and Machine learning as a Service
Machine Learning is the new service presented by the company that promises to provide the developers useful tools for the implementation of the predictive models. The latter can be rapidly processed through API and the wizards of the service, thanks to the integration with Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) and Amazon Redshift, which allows to easily work with data in the AWS cloud.
Machine Learning, as stated in the press release, automatically manages a whole series of operations (subject to calculation errors) which usually must be performed by the same developer and consequently require a greater expenditure of time and energy, starting from various repetitive tasks until the creation of statistical summary, execution of data analysis and use of machine learning algorithms for the creation of models based on the data – from view multiple times to increase the accuracy.

Developers can now generate predictions with high throughput, without bothering to buy hardware, deploy and scale the computational load, manage dependencies or monitoring and troubleshooting infrastructure. There are no installation costs and developers pay only what they will use.
The machine learning has/will definitely help Amazon to improve usability (user experience) and the quality of services, starting from simple purchase suggestions visible in one of the many online stores or mail notification of availability a particular item to notifications from the original provider, in case of alleged suspicious activity is taking place.
