Normally you can set the eSIM of the primary Samsung smartphones with Samsung LTE Smartwatches. In such a setup, you need not have a smartphone at all. If you have two Samsung smartphones or tablets, you can have the same content auto-updating by using the same Samsung account. This helps us to use the mid-range sets such as A50s with S22 ultra or S23 ultra with syncing of apps such as Notes which supports S Pen input.
Now, you can use WhatsApp against the primary phone number as well. This is not a Samsung-specific feature. This feature is enabled by WhatsApp and should work with devices of any brand and operating system. However, we have tested it on Samsung devices. This feature will help Samsung device users more to get the maximum from S Pen. So, now you have two options.
You can draw a thing on S22/S23 Ultra or Samsung Tablet and send it from your mid-range set such as A50s. As you know, apps such as Notes automatically sync across devices.

OR
Draw a thing on S22/S23 Ultra or Samsung Tablet and send it from the same device against the phone number of your mid-range set such as A50s. There is an existing “Linked devices” function on WhatsApp which allows using WhatsApp from tablets, laptops etc devices. The new WhatsApp Companion mode is different and it is designed for smartphones. The feature was released on April 25, 2023. You can read the official announcement here:

However, there are a few limitations on the second device. The April 2023 WhatsApp update allows you to use companion mode both for personal and business accounts. The second smartphone will work as a slave. You need at least some way to connect to the internet from the second device. You’ll need to use WhatsApp on the second smartphone at least once every 14 days to prevent your WhatsApp account from getting signed out. You can not use payment, live location etc features on the second device.

How to Use WhatsApp on Two Devices as Single Account
We are assuming that you have WhatsApp installed on all your smartphones.
- Open WhatsApp on your main smartphone which’s the phone number you want to use.
- In other mobile phones WhatsApp, avoid signing in. Instead, tap on the 3-dots menu, then select the “Link to existing account” option. Now, you’ll see a QR code.
- This QR code is required to be scanned by your primary phone. Open WhatsApp on your primary mobile phone and tap on the 3-dots menu and select the “Link devices > Link a device” option.
- A QR scanner will open. Now scan the QR code shown on the second phone.
This will link the smartphones phones and you’ll be able to use these two phones as if they are cloned.
