Rust is a survival game created by Facepunch Studios for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, and Consoles. If you never heard of Rust – Rust can not be compared with common games such as Minecraft. You simply can not compare Rust with Second Life because SL is of a different niche, but the comparison is obvious from the fact that many of the SL players want to try Rust. Survival games themselves are a type of action video games, commonly in a hostile, intense, open-world environment. The inspiration for Rust comes from multiple games in the survival genre. Its official release was on February 8, 2018, although it has been in early access since 2013. Underestimating an enemy is a big mistake in a survival game, but Rust is something special for which we need a smoother performance.
Rust is a resource-hungry game. Rust requires at least an Intel Core i7 processor, 8 GB RAM, and a dedicated video RAM of 2GM. It is important to note that, high-end convertible laptops such as HP x360 will meet the required spec but may get extremely hot. If you are planning to play on a laptop then you should arrange optimal cooling to avoid thermal throttling. The console versions are in beta and we have not tested them. The CPU and GPU requirements for Rust fall among the highest in the industry.

Rust : The Plot

The players will arrive on an abandoned island nude without knowing why, with some industrial areas left abandoned (to be searched), the player must then manage to survive against nature and other players as well as scientists, helicopters and tanks that guard areas and do not hesitate to shoot if a player approaches too close to them. The player must pick up resources and make different objects in the game to survive. Players must make objects, weapons, base, etc. with the recovered objects as they search for enemy bases and areas for looting. It is up to each player to make friends or enemies, to find an objective and all means are good to achieve it.
The player gets a starter kit that includes rock and a torch. Players can pick up resources, such as cloth, food, stone, iron, sulfur, and wood, which can be obtained from animals, rocks, and trees. The player starts with an initial craft list of items such as weapons, clothing, and building materials.
The voice chat in Rust merges with the draw distance. Maybe you are spotted an idiot young girl or a boy, who will get closer, louder and confident at a closer distance. It’s hilariously antagonistic to think a young girl/boy has targeted you. Do not get fooled by the age and gender of the voice. An unofficial way to get an edge is to purchase Rust account.
Beyond the hard life, you can do a lot of creative things including setting up a shop inside Rust. Shops are “profitable” and the logic of running the shop well is like in the real life. Do not sell a huge amount of powerful ammo – the bad guys will find you and raid your shop!

How to Improve Your FPS in Rust
In general, you need to optimize your Windows 10 PC to run the game faster. After starting the Rust client, select F1 and go to the console screen. Type “perf 1” (without the quotation marks) and hit ENTER. Once you are connected to a server, your FPS will be shown in the lower-left corner.
To make changes to settings, press the ESC key. Do this the first time before joining a server. Then select the options tab (gear icon). Here you will find the GRAPHICS, and PERFORMANCE tabs. Under the GRAPHICS tab, you’ll get these options :

Turn off Depth of Field as it causes blurring. Do not set Draw Distance lower than 1000. Under the Performance Tab, you’ll get these options :

Above we have shown the minimal value of all the settings. You can start with a no-pop/low-pop server and build a small building to get inside. Change the settings by a small amount each time to understand how much your system can deliver. Using a system of under 8GB of ram and without a dedicated graphics card is not recommended.
