Depending on how we purchase any Adobe subscription, we may end up with overlapping subscriptions. The result will be getting charged twice a month. Such a situation may run years after years (it was 24 months for us). It is our responsibility as honest customers to contact the support with properly articulated wordings to present the situation with proof to support that our claim is valid. As we could solve our situation and got back all the money, we are in a position to help similar customers.
We need to arrange the “evidence” of double charging. You have to prove that it was Adobe who created the double bill. Shouting with a credit card statement alone is not sufficient since a fraudulent third party also can exploit your card faking as Adobe.
First, log in to Adobe Creative Cloud and navigate to :
---
1 | https://account.adobe.com/ |
You’ll see the main plan listed on this web page. You’ll be unable to view any duplicate subscriptions on this webpage.
Next, click “Plan Details”. A new webpage will open. From this webpage, you’ll able to open :
1 | https://shop.adobe.com/store |
from the “Manage Payment” link. A new webpage will open. In this webpage, you should be able to see how many subscriptions you have (including any duplicate). You can not cancel any subscription from this webpage without taking the help of Adobe’s support. From our experience, the support of Adobe can not view this webpage. What you can view, they’ll unable to view.
You’ll notice that at the top of the webpage there will be information such as “You have 2 subscriptions due for renewal in one week!” followed by a list, like “Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan (one-year)Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan (one-year)”. End of these product information boxes, there will be three hyperlinks :
1 | Edit Address | Edit Payment Info | View Transaction History |
Click the “View Transaction History” hyperlink of the first subscription. A window with a list like below will open:
1 2 3 4 5 | 20/04/202192635158300Renewed797.68 INR 20/03/202191217487900Renewed797.68 INR ... ... 20/05/201914208092310Original797.68 INR |
92635158300 is the “order number”. Right-click it and open the window in a new tab. The “Order Summary” webpage will open. Click “Order Details”. A new webpage will open. You’ll get a link here “Download VAT Invoice”. Click it.
You will get a PDF like this one.
Do the same with the duplicate subscription to download the VAT invoice.
Now, contact Adobe support via chat with :
- Two VAT invoices you have collected. Invoice Number, Invoice Date, Order Number are the data they can trace.
- Your credit card (they will ask for the first and last 6 digits)
- Your credit card statement
You may ask them in this way :
“I noticed that I am getting charged by Adobe twice a month. I need your help to cancel the duplicate subscription. I have the latest VAT invoices of the two subscriptions, from there the Invoice Date and Order Numbers as follows :
20/04/202192635158300
20/04/202192635158901
Please check the matter and let me know if you need more details. ”
They will take around 10 minutes to find out and will ask you “we are about to cancel the duplicate subscription and refund you XYZ amount x ABC months. Is it fine?” You will positively respond. They will confirm and close the chat. After 2-3 days, you’ll receive a survey email from Adobe. Provide a good rating. After a day or so, you’ll get a confirmation email that your money will be refunded. Next, you’ll receive a bunch of emails with reversal of each order, like the below screenshot :

Many peoples are unable to present their case properly to the support :

Adobe support Chat is open Mon – Fri 5 am – 7 pm (US Pacific Time). A human sitting opposite in a chat can not understand whether our claim is legitimate. They can not find the billing information from credit card alerts of transactions. Avoid talking around refund of money – just complain about the double billing and a request to cancel your duplicate subscription. Whenever they will discover that your case is genuine, they will refund the money. When we got back around 18,000 INR (that is around $300) from Adobe, you’ll also get back as long your situation is like ours.
